Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Review from a Mom of 5
There are so many new popular baby products on the market, and this is one I really wanted to get my hands on to test out for you guys! We will break down the new Baby Brezza washer pro with stats, info, personal experience as a breast/bottle feeding mom of 5, and this community’s feedback!
what is the baby brezza bottle washer pro
This device is a bottle washer, dryer, and sterilizer that sits on your counter! Instead of hand washing and air drying a million bottles per day, this device is supposed to take that work out of your hands!
This device works for bottles, pump parts (approved by pump companies), sippy cups, straw cups, etc. It is really great to have an automatic way to do all the washing and drying for us! Basically, it’s a little “mini dishwasher” specifically for your pump and bottle parts. Now, let’s get to the nitty gritty!

use of device + LOADING
HOW TO USE
Basically, you simply load your dirty pump or bottle parts and pieces on the 2 racks in the washer (just like a dishwasher), fill your clean water tank, place one of their specific “dishwasher tablets” in the designated front spot, choose your cycle, hit start. Make sure when loading you are placing bottles in the appropriate spots so the jets can reach inside and clean them properly (when I just crammed things in there for a test, many pieces still had milk residue on them after the cycle was over). That’s it! Based on your chosen cycle, 60-90 mins later, your bottles will be CLEAN as a whistle!
I thought that this was incredibly convenient and easy to use. It was so easy to toss the bottle and pump parts in, press a button, and not have to wash by hand. Inside the lid, there are 2 levels with 4 spots to place bottles and corresponding nipples, collars, etc. Each spot has a corresponding jet, so the bottles do need placed on these specific spots. They even have an extender for the area between the 2 levels to fit taller or smaller bottles, which is really nice. If you’re washing pump parts, flanges would go on the bottle standing upright.
PROS: Easy to use, spots for different items, 2 levels with height adjuster, specific areas for specific parts, on wheels so easy to turn machine if adjustments are needed or need to fill/dump water tanks, quick cycles, gets items clean and dry and sterilized as needed
CONS: Large footprint and takes up a decent amount of counter space, it can be pretty loud at times, sometimes keeping certain bottles/pump parts on the bottle-designated spot is hard, pump parts seem to fall everywhere at times— it’s hard to move things around and kind of feels like you’re playing tetris when trying to get the lid on, does use a gallon of water to run, it does seem that many people have experienced some error codes with the machine (keep your manual!) as well as lid warping (to which many have been sent a new lid no cost). I have not yet had either of those issues.
I did not like the lack of space on the top rack. It makes it difficult to wash both my pump flanges, pump bottles, and baby bottles at the same time (ie you only have 4 “large spots” to place either flanges or bottles). I wish I was able to put flanges on the top rack jets so I could utilize the 4 big bottom spots for the pump bottles and baby bottles! I even tried with them laying sideways and it didn’t clean well since the jets need to be able to get into the flange tunnel.
I am able to do the silicone pump inserts (you’re not technically “supposed” to do those in here) standing upright on the top rack with the shorter pole, but they do have to “squish down” with the lid being put on. Again, this does risk integrity of your silicone inserts as per your brand manual, but sometimes I do it when they’re going to need replaced soon anyway.
As you can see in the below photos:
PHOTO 1: A small Medela bottle on the top rack does not fit with the lid (lid is not all the way down and sealed)
PHOTO 2: Here I stacked my silicone flange inserts on the top rack with the short pole between the 2 levels. The lid does fit on, but it “squishes down” the silicone flanges. A hard plastic flange will not work on the top rack upright.
cleaning
The device allows for washing, drying, and sterilizing. The amount of time it runs depends on how many of these cycles are selected (88 mins for all 3). It uses jets to clean and has its own Baby Brezza detergent tabs that need to be used. A 60 pack comes with your purchase of the device. It’s like a mini dishwasher specifically for baby gear! You fill your “clean” water tank at the top and it will drain into the “dirty” water tank at the bottom throughout the washing process. At the end, dump out the “dirty water” tanks and clean it!
Overall, I felt like it did a nice job getting things nice and clean. It truly does about the same job as my dishwasher, and I love that it’s all dry at the end too. I did find that there were times when I had it pretty full that there would be some residue left on some of the bottle nipples that I needed to hand wash a bit. If you’re stocking up that top shelf (hey', we get it), I’d probably give some of the pieces a good rinse first. Otherwise, use as manual instructs for loading.
PROS: Cleans, dries, and sterilizes, nice to turn it on and walk away instead of handwashing, distilled water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup, but tap can be used, it cleans really well when the bottles are loaded onto their single jets properly, short cycles make for faster ability to have clean parts and pieces for the next feeding
CONS: I did notice that sometimes the pump parts wouldn’t get completely cleaned if they weren’t perfectly placed over top of the jets (which the manual does state), have to use their specific detergent tabs (which can get a bit pricey, esp if utilizing multiple times per day), it’s def geared more towards bottles versus pump parts (though it does technically work for those too), if using with distilled water you go through a ton…
BELOW PHOTOS:
PHOTO 1: These are the specific baby brezza dishwasher tabs you use with this machine
PHOTO 2: These are the water tanks— you will the top with clean water and it empties throughout the cycle into the bottom tank, which needs dumped at the end!
PHOTO 3: You can see there is a corresponding jet in each “space”, which is why it’s important to load it correctly
personal experience & MY THOUGHTS
With our fifth baby, I got one of these to test out. For reference, I started out with triple feeding (nursing, pumping, bottle feeding) and now am nursing and pumping/giving a bottle daily as well! I have been testing this device out since we got it and using it daily (esp with pump parts!). With this item being so expensive, I wanted to give you an unbiased look at some things to consider!
All in all, I feel like this is a really nice option, especially if you go through multiple bottle and pump parts a day. The cycles are short and sweet so you’re able to ensure they’ll be clean and ready for your next pump sesh/bottle feeding. Many people wonder if it’s '“just the same as the dishwasher”— it is, but it also sterilizes and you can run it more often (every 90 mins). Many families likely don’t have enough dishes to fill and need to run their dishwasher with pump and bottle parts multiple times per day. And you don’t have a waiting period to “fill” the dishwasher before running it. This is like a “mini dishwasher” as far as effectiveness, but we don’t need to wait to run it! With having 88 minute cycles for the full wash, dry, sterilize, you’re able to have clean pump parts before your next feeding! The one big “con” for me, personally, was that even with the smaller rod in place, I am not able to fit much aside from pump bottle lids, bottle nipples and collars, duckbills up on the top rack. This is just frustrating when I am wanting to wash my pumpables GA parts and bottles we have used. Other than that, I really love it!
“is it worth it?”
It depends. Everyone’s budget is different, but aside from that, I think it also depends on how often you’d be running it. I also think the sterilization feature is incredibly nice for parents with immunocompromised babies, premature babes, etc. Like I said above, most people typically don’t run their dishwasher more than 2 times per day, leaving us to hand wash those times where we aren’t able to throw bottles in the dishwasher. This machine allows you to run it every 1.5 hours as needed, which can get more pump and bottle parts cycling through. For instance, this may be “more vital” to a person who is exclusively pumping and/or bottle feeding most/all feeds versus someone who is nursing when with baby and pumping/bottles when away from baby (though it is convenient to come home from work and pop all the dirty pieces in there for a wash!). So, consider your situation: budget, how often you’re cleaning parts and pieces, counter space, etc!
community FEEDBACK
I polled this amazing community of moms to give their input on the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro. Compiling some of the common responses, here is what they said!
LOVes
The most mentioned “love” was how easy this device is and how much time is saved from washing pump and bottle parts and pieces. Also, how it is able to wash, dry and sanitize!
“When it comes down to it, as an EP mama- this thing saved my sanity! Could not recommend more!”
“Honestly I don’t know how I EP’d without this thing the first time.”
“I nurse and bottle feed, and my husband and I get SO much use out of this! It’s so nice how quickly everything is done.”
“The fact that this little device can wash, dry, and sanitize for my freshly home NICU baby was a huge selling point for me!”
needs improvement
The most mentioned area it needs improvement is space. Many women wish it had more space to load closer to 6-8 bottles instead of 4. Women also mentioned the lid warping a few times, but that BB would send a new lid at no cost.
“I wish there was simply more room. It’s such a large machine for only allowing 4 spots"
“Love this but wish it was bigger for more bottle parts and pump parts!”
“The top rack only fits little items, which is a bummer for the size and cost”
“Mine got an error code, which was annoying after only having for a week, but brezza sent a whole new machine no cost!”
“I didn’t love having to purchase their specific detergent tabs”
